September Favorites

Filled with the autumn warmth September days are already gone, and it’s October outside. To make October less gloomy, let’s smile more. What makes us smile if not the favorite things? So, here are my September favorites.

Book of September is “Inferno” by Dan Brown. This is the fourth book in a series of thrilling adventures of Robert Langdon – Harvard University professor of symbology. On this time he must unravel the mystery of genetics genius, who is crazy about on radical rescue of humanity and the Dante’s “Divine Comedy”.

“Nothing is more creative… nor destructive… than a brilliant mind with a purpose.”

As always in Brown’s books, “Inferno” is a book with interesting plot, full of history and mysticism.

In September, I have watched several films, but I want to highlight the film “Sully”. This is the story about the emergency landing of the A320 aircraft in the cold waters of the Hudson River in New York, which occurred on January 15, 2009. Although none of the 155 people on board was injured, the investigation, that threatened the reputation and career of Captain Sully, was started

A good movie based on a true story with brilliant Tom Hanks in the main role.

The series is based on book «Cooked: A Natural History of Transformation» by Michael Pollan. Through the prism of the four natural elements – fire, water, air, earth – Michael Pollan talks about food, our relationship to it, evolution and history of its preparation. Highlighting our primal human need to cook, the series urges a return to the kitchen to reclaim our lost traditions and to forge a deeper, more meaningful connection to the ingredients and cooking techniques that we use to nourish ourselves.

Favorite cosmetics in September is a nail polish series “Gel effect” from Avon. The bright and intense colors – from gentle pastel to vamp colors, glossy shine and stable surface. What else makes a girl more trendy, if not a good manicure?

Recipe of the month is sponge cake with nuts, which is perfect both for holidays and for tea with the family.
