Well, finally, it’s time to remember some pleasant and interesting things from the last month of the year. So here are my December favorites.
Among the books read in December, I would like to mention The New York Times and USA Today bestseller – book “In a Dark, Dark Wood” by Ruth Ware.
Ruth Ware is a young British writer, debuting in the literary world with her novel “In a Dark, Dark Wood” with elements of detective and thriller. This masterly written novel is about a girl-writer attending a hen party of her old friend. It seems like this hen party is the usual thing, but when you start to rake up the past, expect some troubles.
Favorite movie in December – “Rogue One”. It’s a spin-off to the main “Star Wars” saga and talks about events before “Episode IV: A New Hope”. This is a story about the rebels who makes a risky move to steal the plans for the Death Star, the biggest Empire’s ship and weapon.
In December, I have watched an interesting episode by the American television channel National Geographic – “Mars”. The series is based on the book “How We’ll Live on Mars” by Stephen Petranek. The narrative alternates between the years 2016, 2033 and 2037 and tells us about the colonization mission to Mars. Six astronauts are sent to Mars on the Dedalus space ship to discover there some opportunities for future human life. If you’re a fan of science fiction, you will like this series. Now there is only one season with 6 series, but according to National Geographic Season 2 is production.
British singer-songwriter from Rag’n’Bone Man (Rory Graham) and his excellent single “Human”.
