When it’s warm and sunny summer outside, we want to eat a cool and gently dessert, and delicious of course. Chocolate-orange dessert is one of the best desserts for hot summer. This dessert is the combination of two cream-mousses: delicate chocolate and orange flavored.
Dessert has a rich chocolate taste, sweetness of which is perfectly accented by citrus flavor. Try to make this chocolate-orange dessert, and you will definitely like it!
Ingredients (for 5-6 servings)
For the chocolate cream-mousse:
1 bar of chocolate (preferably dark, but choose to your taste)
2 tbsp. cocoa
2 egg yolks
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. starch (corn or potato)
2 tbsp. flour
400 ml milk
Preparation:
In a stewpan mix yolks with sugar, cocoa, flour and starch. Add 50 ml of milk, mix and put on the small fire. Constantly stir. Breaks the chocolate into pieces, add to our stewpan. Continue stirring. When chocolate is melted, pour into a saucepan other 350 ml milk, and cook until thickening. When the cream reaches the thick but tender consistency, remove from heat and put to cool.
For the orange cream-mousse:
Freshly extracted juice of 1 orange or 1 cup of orange juice
orange zest
2 egg yolks
2 tbsp. sugar
½ tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. starch (corn or potato)
2 tbsp. flour
300 ml milk
Preparation:
In a stewpan mix yolks with sugar, orange zest, vanilla, flour and starch. Add the orange juice, mix and put on the small fire. Carefully stirring, pour the milk into the stewpan, and cook until thickening. When the cream reaches the thick but tender consistency, remove from heat and put to cool.
Spread mousses into cup by layers, in any order. Use a pastry bag to make accurately layers. Chocolate-orange dessert tastes the best when chilled, so cool it in refrigerator at least 1 hour.
Chilled desserts decorate to your taste.
